It also reduces a person’s risk of heart disease – a condition that is very widespread in people who have diabetes. In addition, exercise can help you feel better about yourself and increase your overall health.

What kind of exercises diabetics should choose?
Actually, there are no specific exercises for one to do. You can select any from a great range of cardio exercise, such as walking, running, cycling, aerobics, skating, warm-ups and cool-downs, tennis, etc. You just have to choose that one that increases the heart rate.

Aerobic exercise reinforces the heart and maintains the exerciser’s muscles warm. As for the strength training – it builds stamina, at the same time as improves both joints and muscles. Warm-ups and cool-downs are necessary for the safety of the exerciser.

It doesn’t matter what kind of exercise one does, you just have to make sure to warm up before starting, and cool down when finished. Spend 5 to 10 minutes for warming up by doing a low-intensity exercise like walking; after that gently stretch for another five to ten minutes. Repeat these steps after exercising to cool down.

Before starting your exercise, you have to consult a doctor about what kind of exercise is right for you. It’s all depends on whether one has any other health problems.
