Nephrogenic Diabetes InsipidusTests and Examinations Examination may point out dehydration and/or shock if fluid consumption is insufficient. The pulse rate may be quick, with a low blood pressure present. The most important symptom of diabetes insipidus is constant high urine production account of fluid ingestion.
Signs related to high urine output are the following: - High serum osmolality - Low urine osmolality - Normal or high ADH levels - The kidneys don’t make a more concentrated urine when the person is given ADH
This disease may also change the outcomes of the following tests: - Urine specific gravity - Urine concentration test - Urine 24h volume - Serum sodium
